Our Latest Persuasion

Dead Language Beer Project

When: May 10th, 2024 Where: 1429 Park St #115, Hartford, CT Dead Language Beer Project is Hartford’s newest brewery, located in the old Hog River Brewery facility. Opened by Alvarium’s founding brewer and his wife this spring, it’s a welcome addition after Hartford lost four breweries in the last few years, including City Steam, just…

Shunock River Brewery and Village Cafe

When: January 14th ,2024 Where: 2 Wyassup Rd, North Stonington, CT Rest directly on the Shunock River, the Shunock River Brewery probably has the more scenic and rural New England look to their taproom as any brewery I have been to. Wondering who Brewing Persuasions is?

We’re two museum professionals located in Connecticut who fell pretty hard for craft beer back in 2017. Our interest in beer has turned into a (healthy-ish) obsession over the past 6 years. Together we travel along the CT Beer Trail collecting stamps, posting on Untapped, and drinking delicious local beers! #CTbeerdrinkers

Chris is a CT native with a few great loves: his dogs Apple and Cinnamon, the Colorado Avalanche, and caramel apple tartlets from Omaha Steaks. More importantly, he loves dark beers: milk stouts, imperial stouts, porters, and the occasional milkshake IPA (just to keep things fresh and prove he’s not a one type-beer-drinker).

Shannon is a PA transplant who loves the Pittsburgh Penguins, lobster rolls, and the dog camera she uses to watch her sisters two dogs, Chewy and Titan, who live in Virginia. Beer wise, she’ll drink almost anything: ales, lagers, IPA’s, milkshake IPA’s, stouts, porters, and pilsners.

Nick is Chris’s older brother and is Shannon’s replacement after she moved to Ohio to drink their beer instead. (Now we just visit each other and show them all the breweries in our area).
