No Worries Brewing Company in Hamden is the kind of place where the name truly says it all. The brewery has a laid-back vibe, drinks, and even the occasional dog to complete the welcoming atmosphere. I stopped by on a quiet afternoon, finding myself in the bartender’s company and their friendly pup, which made the experience feel personal.
Though Chris and I visited a few weeks apart, we found things to enjoy. For me, the hard seltzers stole the show. Lee Dee Da Mango Blast was a standout—a mango-flavored hard seltzer that’s bright, tropical, and refreshing. RotoScope, a flavored malt beverage, also impressed with its unique character.
Say It Loud, a smooth and balanced brown ale, was my top pick on the beer side. It’s perfect for those who appreciate malty, darker styles without overwhelming heaviness.
If you want a relaxed spot to enjoy creative drinks in Hamden, this is the only spot in town. It won’t get the attention that its New Haven cousins will.
Nick: Lee Dee Da Mango Blas was my favorite—it’s one of the best seltzers I’ve had in a while. And Say It Loud? It was also very good. The bartender explained it to me, but I am still not clear on what it is precisely because they told me it isn’t malt liquor, but a flavored malt beverage, which Untapped labels this as.
Chris: I’ve been to No Worries brewing a few times by now and its been a mixed bag to say the least. The taproom is your typical garage brewery with some nice art on the walls, but does have a private event space attached. I’ve had quite the assortment of brews during my time at Now Worries, but by far the best one was the Here it Gose Again with Blackberries. It was a sweet sour with a little bit of tart to it, not sure if it is still served as I drank it 5 years ago. Since then, I have had their Cannonball Pilsner and Hakuna Matata Blonde which were both pretty bland.
